Infinity Atlas Moth 4A-Style (Off-String) Yo-Yo
This very different to those cola-branded yo-yos we had in the 90s.
The Atlas Moth is a giant-sized yo-yo designed for 4A-style play, where the yo-yo is not attached to the string, so it can be thrown and caught on the string like a diabolo. There are endless possibilities of tricks you can perform with this style, and it’s super fun.
Sold individually with 2 strings.
Colours May Vary slightly.
This yo-yo from Infinity has been designed for 2 reasons. Firstly it is an ideal, giant first yo-yo. The big flared shape makes landing tricks like trapezing much easier. The Atlas Moth really comes into its own with 4A (or off-string) play.
4A is when the yo-yo is detached from the string, and used in a similar fashion to a diabolo. The oversized Infinity Atlas Moth yo-yo has a wide, butterfly (or ‘Atlas Moth’) profile making it easier to catch back on the string. Many of the same tricks that can be done with a diabolo are possible with a 4A yo-yo, except that it will be necessary to rewind the yo-yo by throwing the string around its axis before relaunching it to give it a new speed of rotation.
You can also choose to attach the string for 1A style to perform long-spinning tricks with the smooth metal bearing axle, but the central gap is not quite enough to excel in the discipline of 1A with a thick yo-yo string. it’s really best for 4A with a detached string.
With a transparent plastic finish and moth graphics, this yo-yo is great for performances. It is also a proven favourite for people who want to teach yo-yo-ing to others, due to its size.
